One word for it "IMPRESSIVE"
If you manage to catch it live, you would have felt how proud a chinese could be in this event.
Starting off with the "footstep" fireworks to the birdnest....and immediately with the most ancient musical instrument played by 3000. Flipping the pages of China's history using the 4 greatest invention of China, fireworks, paper, compass and printing.... was marvellous
With everyone moving in steps...neat and alignment is the correct word to use....
Fireworks was all around beijing..
Zhang Yi Mou directed the opening and indeed, very ancient movie style of appearance....
The most remembrance part was the march of confucious disciples! Singing the teachings by 3000 people dressed in ancient robes..

Other moments were the ancient beauties marched into the stadium gracefully....the guy who strum the gu zhen all alone..
The tai chi demonstration was astonishing...3000 taichi master performing taichi..
Overall, it was a smooth flow of history and nothing that will make u feel that is was a forceful over-doing...it only gives you the feeling of pride...Proud of the ancient history...
The great cheers upon the appearance of Taiwan as well as Hongkong, proved the unity of Chinese and how influencing Olympics are over politics.
Well done China and for once, i forgot the fact that the Chinese in Singapore are destestable...till sharon who reminded me about it..
Anyway....i decided to forgive and forget they were....for just 3.5hours tonight!
