Ran a roll on my UWS peace...if there is one toy camera, i would never sell and even repurchase another copy when it spoils, it should be this plastic camera...I am still very impress with the who technical specs of this plastic body plastic lens camera that cost only a $50.
A simple press and shoot camera that gives really good results.
Took this series at East Coast while walking my way to Big Splash for my roller blading session with YY, Alex and Hanyi.
I tried going nearer for this shot...but its still not near enough
This is really like a paradise..
Despite the sign, i think there are still alot of Old Pek Pek who still swims in group there!
Skater kids everywhere
Rental of Blades
And finally Us, after our session, all no image liao

Cheers to a great gathering
Finally, Met up with Sis Cheryl for dinner at Tampines One last Thursday...
Time really fly..and it has been 2 years since she has left the company, but i am still here..sigh..
Haha..anyway this meeting, i thick-skinned to this gathering without carrying any belated x'mas gift that the rest has prepared for one another.
This is what i have gotten from her. A tentoumushi!
A key chain size camera..which i had no idea how to fix the film on it. So basically, i just keep it as a collection item.
Can see the pics taken from this small tiny camera here...using the 110 film.
Others flickr.
http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=tentoumushi&w=all
I am so sorry to the participants that the film taken from my camera didnt really turn out well...i simply refuse to believe that i ignore the technical specs for taking picture with back facing a brighter background ended up all the shots were underexposed..
So digital camera is still much useful for gatherings...

My first try with Minolta 7s
Okay, after the last round of testing, i went for another round of shooting at the botanic garden to test out my Minolta 7s. It's a heavy afternoon for this shoot, since my dry cabinet traumatized me the whole afternoon.
In comparison to Yashica, this camera gives me a much more flexibility in manual control mode. I could play with the Depth of field as much as i can open the aperture to the max.
It took me roughly 10 shots before i realised the patch focusing on range finder..Nonetheless, i think it's a success on this roll of Kodak Gold 200.
trying to focus center then frame it...n i did it!
I really love this pic alot...i intend to bokeh the background with the girls having picnic..and its lovely..
In search of flowers...
I tried doing center focus..and i did it again...(meaning, i focus the branches and leaves at the center..and the front and background turned out blur with the center in focus only)
My favorite last 2 shot!
I zone focus this shot..meaning i gauge the distance and snap..wonderful isn't it?
I think I am talented..haha and i notice botanic garden doesn't have much flowers.
Ending off the last picture of the roll....
Me!!! The handsome me...OPs...i mean talented me!lol

Sunday...
How do you tell when a person treat you as a friend?
Not that they must always be around you...but at least they remembered you.
I was quite surprised and touched by their sincerity to invite me for a Roller blading session that they even changed the dates at my convenience.
All the while, i was still trying to push it away!!!
When i met them today, i realized that they changed the session from Saturday to Sunday, which resulted 2 others can't join in.
This really make me feel a little guilty.
YY was still asking me that how come after so many sessions, the two of us don;t really seems to have any improvement. I told him it's really talent! I think i am really not suitable for this sport..i have lost count, how many little kids passes me throughout and these group of friends were really kind to always stop to allow me to catch up. If not, basically i am just blading by myself.
After the session, Hanyi insisted to drop me at my place even when we are quite out of the way...wow..i guess, i really need to "wear a spec" and reflect on the way i treat friends! Haha...i think i am self deluded and engross in a world of my own...not noticing the people around me are genuine!

Testing first roll off Yashica GSN
I am acting abit silly...remembered many years back, my dad told me that rangefinder actually allows a center focusing when you look through the view finder. I didn't realized it until today.
All the while, i thought that since the view finder does not relate to the lens, there shouldn't be any use for it other than framing the subject.
TOTALLY WRONG!
Too bad, i didn't realised that when i am using my Yashica..and so..this set are mainly out of focus..i estimated and do the calculation on focusing myself...
1) Very Out of focus!
2) Not so bad but still out of focus!
4) The clearer one...
3) It's either I am a professional...or i am pure lucky!
This is my favourite Shot! I shoot this in office..immediately after lunch when there isn't much people around.
Choose the 0.9m option maximum aperture at F1.8 and snap...
Ironically, this is the bear i won with my first try on the "Bear catching Machine" and my first shot on it came out super clear!
The white balance shifted itself with a green tint...but i simply love the colour!

Classy Minolta Hi-matic 7s
It took me awhile before i post this here. I'm down with the gurung guni syndrome..collecting garbage!
It was an impulsive purchase while im searching for a Yashica GSN, which never show up until i secured this offer from the seller.
Minolta Rangefinder seems to be one of the most well built and most hardy 20 years old Rangefinder you will see in the market these day.
So here it is..from the whole series, i picked this Minolta Hi-matic 7s.
Which is a model other than Hi-matic 9, that received the best review.
In very good condition, after so many years
Comes with a carrying case, which is only half the set.
Got a Dreamer strap shared between the 2 rangefinder. Retro soft leather strap with a film pouch.
Loading my first roll of film, Kodak Gold 200...and bring it with me tomorrow to Botanic Garden after catching Legion at Plaza Sing..i have gotten my routes all well planned! Happy Weekend!
