Railway with my point and shoot

Its been quite a while since i carry my point and shoot out...for a change, i carried it around with yesterday.
It really doesnt matter what camera you are holding..you just need to see and capture the things you feel really nice!

I took these while i was on my way to work...

Last on the list

Just when i thought i won't be able to find the watch that i wanted..i received a call from one of the shop and he manage to find a piece from the agent. I believe other than the Adidas original stores that might still hold some stock of this, you won't be able to find this color anywhere in those watch shop.

Bedok Reservoir...viewing Sunset

It has been quite awhile since i last post anything from my DSLR. Since the day i buy the gradient filter till now, it has always been in my cupboard collecting dust. Since today i have nothing much except for the watch hunting trip, i brought my camera along.
Many years has past since i last visited Bedok reservoir Park and it has changed quite a fair bit. To start with, i don't even recall how it looks like previously.

Nonetheless, I captured quite a fair bit of pictures before the sun set and during sunset.
A very pleasant sight but would be better if today wasn’t so humid.

The before sun set scene…

Moving ahead

Firstly, thanks for all the smses, comments left in my shoutout box on my promotion. Thanks all. Despite the last “sour” blog entry, many still sends their “Congrats”. And it was over the past few days that I discover that I am at least still promoted and even with that bit of increment, it was still worthy for a small celebration. I try not to since I have been spending so much on my own stuffs.

Okay sharing abit on my terrible spending these days. I have just received my 2 pairs of “Airflown” (specs that only improve your image but not your vision) and my conclusion was that it really deserves the long waiting time. In comparison with the super cheap glasses I have gotten at Parkway, this one is seriously anti glare and the whole thing look classy.

Instead of showing the pictures of them, might as well wear them for a picture. I did but it’s in Ah Nise camera. Oh here it is, oh yah, it has been ages since the 4 of us took a picture together! Somehow felt like we were back to Poly days...

I experience the most exciting online shopping recently with Fred Perry. Till now I am still having this little phobia over the sizing issue whether I have gotten them correct, the only trade off for a saving of $50+ for my laziness to make a trip down to the store locally for a sizing. This is the one; I chose the leather version over its canvas style. (Pictures from Fred Perry UK.)

I believe I should be in between the sizing for UK 8 and UK 9 and my comparison was strictly base on the cutting which I presume similar to my converse. The past few nights have been a torment to me, with just 2 digits appearing non stop, 8 , 9, 8 , 9. Know what, since it has been haunting me for these nights, I thought it might be a sign as well and place a bet with Singapore pools on these no. So look out tonight if the sequence came out right. If it does, it means I really owe you a treat. Buzz me!

Hopefully, crossing my fingers, everything came alright but at least for now there is a queue to take over this pair of shoes if the size is bigger than mine. Anyone flying Uk?? Haha..can help me get some perry shirts...

For today, my last final purchase for this month(Confirm), I am going to scout for this long await kwon sang woo’s favourite adidas watch which I saw in the Cinderella Man episode. The last time i saw it was at bencoolen and hopefully, I can reason a good price for it.

Promoted “Finally”?

It calls for a celebration after 3 years when I finally received this “priceless” piece of news that I am promoted finally. The weird thing is, I didn’t really get the “heart-throbbing” moment when the letter was handed over to my hand. In fact, I had the adverse feeling.

In total, this year, creating history, a total of 4 officers received their promotion letters. 2 executive promoted to senior. This has never happen in my division before, something like a give away which didn’t happen last year.
There should be at least 2 of the officer reaching their 2nd year of service and was promoted. Not common, some other division sees officer that joined for less than 2 years getting promoted.

When the boss starts going through the speech about how “deserved” we are over this promotion and already over due for this promotion, it kept ringing in my head “U “Deserved” to get promoted only after 3years.” Was it only me who take it so negatively?
Frankly speaking, if I was promoted last year, it might have really called for a celebration. What is it that only after 3 years and maxing out my scheme to get this letter that calling it deserving when I did put in similar effort for each year I joined. Maybe you would have said that it’s better than nothing or at least you still get it after 3 years. But frankly to me, it serves no purposes.
In contrast, I felt that I wasn’t valued as much as what was told to me. All the praises etc…what the hell.

I think there should be a celebration. Only that it should be those who have gotten the worthy promotion that they surpass the system of queuing and received this surprising moment. It would have been more meaningful to them which act as an encouragement and motivation for them. Congrats!

Newly acquired Albino Snakeskin

Last Wednesday marks the death of my old female red melon that has accompanied me for 4 years as a pet. This was mum's favourite piece as well.

I bought a pair back then and now left with just the poor Male all alone in the planted tank.

Today i got another pair of Albino Snakeskin into the tank and hopefully they mix well!

Still in the plastic bag, accustomising it before releasing to the tank

Visiting the 2 Babies..

Everything came rather last minute these days, especially for my own schedules and outings. If you know me well, this is rather unlike my usual style. Fion, Yuan and me discuss and decide yesterday that we should pay Jessie and her newborn a visit.

It was supposed to be 3 of us but Yuan didn’t manage to turn up.

It was my first visit and we really should have bought some things up, but along the way, there wasn’t any shops so in exchange, I offered to take some pictures for her 2 babies...Haha, it was my initial plan anyway.

I was asked, invited or ermm... volunteered to take some pictures of Gabrian the newborn but Gordon was wide awake when we reached while his little brother is still having a small nap..

So Gordon first!

Scenes from Genting

A pretty boring place with minimum landscapes or attraction to snap...nonetheless, i manage to squeeze out some pictures while the rest are either sleep, gambling or clearing their digestive systems. lol

The only tough part for landscape pictures was that the buildings are all not parallel to the floors..I had a hard time trying to avoid tilting.

Genting in the morning was splendid, the warmth of the sun with the cooling breeze touches ur skin..
I found the path and stairs quite unique

this was the picture that make me realise..the hotel flooring was never parallel.
there was a group of "ah neh" who was so funny, they squeeze into one compartment and try their best to push through so as to exit, where in actual fact, there was another bigger exit by the side with sliding doors..

I never thought that night at genting could be so mesmerising..we could even see the, blue sky, bright moon accompanied with many stars here!

this place isnt a heaven for photography..but definitely a nice place to relax leaving aside the 7hrs bus rides..
