Joo Chiat Street, this is a street that walks down the history of Singapore with its unique Peranakan shop-houses structures that till to-date, many Peranakan are still residing at.
I took a morning stroll along this street and hopefully my pictures provide a different feel while justifying the beauty of this area.
Distribution and retailing of dry products is the main business at Joo Chiat
Capturing of heritage in my Frame
The empty streets in the morning
Old signboards are a common sight
A very eerie back alley that is filled with lots of cats and cats poo
To be frank, the area is not just all about black and white, some of the buildings are in vibrant colours.
Showing the colourful series of Joo Chiat
Starting with the back alley, I was even chased by the cats that dominates the whole area.
More of the Colourful Joo Chiat
Do remember to take another look at this beautiful place when you pass by it. Who knows it might be replaced by big modern buildings with our constant progressing society.
