My GF1

When i told Fionis i got a GF1, she told me it sounded as if i have got a Girlfriend...well as much as i hope too, but its not. In fact, i don't know why Panasonic named this series of micro 4/3 with GF...

Nonetheless, i have gotten a great bargain for it and as such, i think im gonna shelf my plans for the canon 60D.

My first encounter with this camera was when i was on my East Java trip. Leon, my room mate, had one of it and generously lend me to try on the camera's capability. The greatest attraction for me was the compactness of this camera and the best part was that the image quality was rather good.

The only draw back on buying it was the lens for this camera arent cheap and to me, maintaining another range of lenses is exhaustive on my wallet!

So when i was back in Singapore, I did a search to see my Rangefinder lenses can be used on this m4/3 camera. It took me alot of effort to check and test and i nearly decided not to buy it and patiently wait for Canon new release 60D.

Who knows the next minute, someone released this minty camera at a really good price~!
I was drawn to buying it but hesitated and after a week, the price dropped even further and i grab it without further delay. I knew it was a great bargain and i was right, somehow people missed this thread and upon my confirmation, there was a huge crowd asking for it. Best part of it..it was the red version copy that i preferred over the blue and black!
So here it is! My new GF1!

Mounted on, my Voigtlander lens! Using this lens on this system is a breeze for me, especially when i tried film before!

Look...my 15mm Wide was a good range for this camera 2x crop body!

A shot i took(My new hobby, MUAY THAI boxing)...i was told that the GF1 inbuilt black and white is good...will try it tomo on Gene's big day!

Finance Gathering 2 - Duck tour

If you are a Singaporean, you will definitely not spend your own money to go for a Duck Tour. But its completely fine if your company is willing to sponsor for the trip and so that's basically everyone's choice! :)

The Organiser this round was Elyz's team, Diana etc. I basically think they did a very good job. The first Division trip that each and everyone of us was given a tour gift...(Photoframe and a SOS Pen) and the many games we played through the journey.

Photo's were all from Guodong's canon 550D, i managed to persuade him to bring his camera rather than mine, in the name of practicing and guiding him on photography..haha

Ermm after testing his camera, i seriously think i will get the canon 60D upon its release..the 7D equivalent sensor is really good...the IQ is something my 400D cannot match to.

See the first picture, im already in it!!! N this will only happen when im not the one holding the camera!
While waiting for the coach.

My buddy GuoDong....

At Suntec Duck tour booth

And becos im not the one photographing, you will finally see all my others colleague on my blog!
Jennie Jean and XY

Me Cavin and Wing

Everyone waiting for the Duck to move out!

Can see the "Extra" lady!!

My current team!!! Ginny, Sheryl and Cavin, not sure how long this will last but we do enjoy this team formation!

Every outing picture is different..the Finance division just keep changing!

And me on the DUCK! I didnt ask for that seat...sitting beside the stress Elyz isnt very fun...haha

Enjoying myself!!!

Asked to Pose, by rite shld be 4 pax, the others are too slow before we left for a grp shot..

Our dinner was at royal plaza on scotts carousel, since there are muslim colleagues, the choice are pretty much fixed.

This was also a dinner for those promoted personnels to chip in and treat the whole of Finance. We are the most rowdy group i guess!

Ermmm must clarify why this outing seems a success compared to my last movie outing...its because i plan that alone..with minimum help..and ermm there wasnt much girls in my team...haha

An update

Just a little update
For the first time, I felt so occupied with my weekends that I do not have sufficient time to run through my agenda that I prepared. I initially had a whole list of activities and task to finish up this weekend but i didnt have the time to do so.
I didn’t even have the time to blog about my first duck tour trip. Anyway, i was also waiting for GuoDong to pass me the pictures.

Just realised my GRP 45 just bloom....this is the 2nd flower and it look much better compared to the previous.

This week is a really busy week for me, hopefully it will end soon!

Say hi to Reynor

Babies are generally cute, that is of course before they learn to speak and start arguing with you.

So here's Reynor(hopefully i got his name correct)
Jessie's nephew.

You will need to give him about 10mins to get him warm up!

He has a very charming smile! Handsome little boy!

Mum wont like this pic!

A close up on him!

Shy after he notice i keep snapping at him

Taking a roll of Fuji Reala

I always wonder why Reala demand such an expensive price, even for an expired roll which i have gotten from weihsuan cost around $6-$7.

But frankly speaking, this film is good...Indoor performed well..Grains are fine and color don't really require much post process.
Here are some of the better shots that i have taken.

Oh, the roll started with Elyz, im trying to convert her into a super enthu photography person, though i believed she does have the interest but just too busy with her "Life"..Haha
By the way, it was also my trial roll using my new lens, Heliar 75mm and i think she was lucky...her shots were all in focus.

I composed well for this picture right!! Thanks!!! haha

Then came fionis, well i "deliberately" focus on her diamond ring..Ah...that explains why...haha....kidding la, i am really remorseful for not giving her another picture...I promise the next roll of film, i will give you another 2 frame. :p

I asked Xin to go natural, but ermm..didnt really turn out well right? She looked like she wasnt very happy.

Wow...my wide angle lens...

Pics of Reynor (Hope i got his name right), testing the roll under outdoor lightings, frankly speaking, the outdoor shots are abit under-performing compared to kodak film.

I think underexposing the film does help create the mood.

A picture that turns out with nicer white balance compared to my Canon...Shania

Some street shots i took....mostly indoor....
Fiddling with my wide angle lens, 15mm, this lens was supposed to perform very well indoor. I agree! Problem with the lens is focusing, i still need practice to get the focusing well.

*Disclaimer: The butt of the 2 girls infront was unintentional...i was targetting the ear phone...haha
