Dragonfly...watch at your own discretion

A friend of mine mentioned that anything that has more than 2 legs are classified under creepy crawlers. After showing to some of the female friends, indeed they replied with "eeekkk, yucks, scary" which wasn't what i expected.

I spend 20 mins at the same spot focusing and trying to get nearer to this dragonfly. Something good about shooting a dragonfly is that it doesn't really get bothered with the surrounding and even if it gets a fright, it will make a round and turn back into the same spot.

Big Eater

Was supposed to do a food blog at this eating outlet yesterday with Gene and gang but problem is, all the shots turned out blur like my vision after the 2nd glass of beer. Maybe I spend too much time with my DSLR that I really got a little rusty with my PnS.

Alvin can’t make it for the Joo Chiat Crab tasting so instead, Gene recommended this outlet at Bedok Simpang, a restaurant called Big Eater which was quite famous for their crabs.

On our way there

Too bad, I didn’t get any decent shots on the food. We were so hungry by the time the food was served. The beer was an unintentional order for the night. I really couldn’t remember the taste of the food after drinking beer and seriously I think beer taste awful and really spoil taste. Why did Gene love it so much? Overall, we had fun and for those who missed this outing, let’s go again next week but strictly no alcohol!

Hair Cut Day, Happy or Pain?

I think I should try to write more without the presence of attractive pictures before turning my blog into some photography journal. Nonetheless, I have been pretty progressive in my photography?

Digressing, I am quite irritated with my hair & frankly after so many years, my hair has always left me disgruntled with or without a cut.

Unlike girls, both physically and psychologically, we always felt it look like a piece of mud with no warnings when it grows out of control.

(Yes, we grumble when it grows and grumble more when it don’t grow) I am those that act on impulse each time I felt that my hair can’t be styled. I will almost immediately schedule an appointment and get it done.

Thank god for the mass availability of stylist these days that really has a bit of standard. Unlike the past, you really got to pray before having the cut and cross your fingers throughout the session and for those weak hearted ones, who can’t accept the truth that the hair is gone and you are stick with something that sure steal “glances” from the crowds, will hide in the toilet and cry their hearts out. I wasn't spared. Look at all my childhood picture till primary 6 and you will know i always has "Owl fringe", yes the one in my IC too. The barber imposed standards and start the fashion with this 3 inch above eyebrows fringe which even if i try lower my eyebrows like doing eyebrows push up....he will still "3 inch". I was always being laughed by others...Yes so much for my childhood.

Erm…so should I say I am looking for trouble or backside itchy? I have a premonition. It will go all wrong, but I convinced myself, I cant be so suay…I even forsake my self esteem by printing a picture to bring it along with me to show her. Guess if you are a stranger and you see a guy like me stealing out a picture from his bag to show the hair stylist, i bet you will laugh at me.

I spend 3 mins printing it, she spend 3 secs glancing it and say okay and start cutting and this is the time I knew I really had to trust her, trust that she has perfect memory and eye sight or countless experience in cutting the same hair style which perhaps all the guys who came also take the same picture. I knew I can’t be so lucky.

So if you see me now, please please, give me a bit of sympathy. Don’t start the conversation with “er…” and staring at my hair.

Yah, Fion called and maybe like what i told her, tomorrow morning when i wake up, my hair will be 2 weeks from now and the color will be so vivid. Dream on....

Okay fine, it’s the last time I am patronizing this stylist..fancy her introducing me a hair dye colour she called it natural brown and indeed so natural that I noticed no difference at all and she further assured me that the color will appear after a few weeks and how do she honour it? Not to mention, I didn’t even get to choose the colour. She just goes ahead to prepare until I ask her for sample and by then the mixture was ready. The whole process from cutting to dyeing my hair is sluggishly performed. The worst $80 spent on my hair.

STOP LAUGHING all of you!!!

Not an empty trip

Some adhoc pictures i took along the way while catching my breath from the assignment shots. Since i cant show any of those modelling shots..haha

Pretty interesting captures...especially the flowers...blooming in different colours..looking at these pictures, i felt the urge to revisit Botanic Garden and finish all my unfinished business there. Especially with my macro filter, should make full use of it.
Maybe next weekend would be a great day?

Paige One at Vivo City

I was surprise that MPH located at Parkway Parade has been replaced by borders and among the many mega bookstores, Times, Borders and Harris, none is as categorize like Paige One. Believe me, if you ever need a book, and if you can't find it here, then forget about the rest. No doubt, their books may be a little costy compared to the rest.

None-the-less, its one place i will surely pop by when i am at Vivo!
