A short commercial break before the rockscaping P3 appears

Haha...im going to hold the P3 for a moment...till it really settles down well before i post it...

Meanwhile...let me blog on other things first

The other day, Choy ask me about my shrimps....ermm the occupants in my 2 main tanks are tetras(fishes) as well as my shrimps...

Cant see it in this pic....but i do house alot of them there and leave them to form their own habitat and territory in it...

I do at times spot babies crawling ard in the tank and before you knew it...you will see many new faces in the tank..and hopefully not any mosquitoes....

Here is the small breeding tank i specifically made for my "sakura" shrimps. They are owning such a nice mini condo by themselves partly because i don wish for them to do any cross breeding with other shrimps....resulting in lightening their intense colourations

Look at them and you will know what i meant....such beauties

And this is my "chapalang" tank...there are surprises inside as well like...nymph..water croachroaches etc....=P

Kidding nia!!!...I don know who is occupying it, should be some cherries shrimps, green shrimps which i hardly spotted any....ermm thats all....

No MOSQUITOES LARVAE definitely.....

WHAT A DAY!

First thing in the morning, waking up to discover half of my shrimps dead...

Following that, arguements and quarrels in the morning....

I always believe the first few things u do in the morning would determine how nice or how terrible that day would have been....its a superstitious that always proved me right...

That explains me to always try keep silent in the morning...where my dear mum would always love to call me on minor things each day without failing...

And that today was a day i am expecting an important response...to my intuition, i was proved disappointment again...and thanks for the so "prompt" reply.

Lastly, ending off my day straying out for a while in a terrible mood before my mum reaches home thinking i was supposed to be out...n dear me who forgot my house key in the morning.

Please pardon me if im not attending to any of you today...its really difficult in such foul moods to put on a smile.

After one day of cycling the tank

This is how it looks...still cloudy the water....

I rearranged the rocks as well as giving some scaping to the soil forming some contour..

Resulting in more cloudiness

Discus back into the tank after two days....

by the way, maybe i didnt highlight earlier that rockscaping usually comes with simple foreground plant...so as not to snatch all the attention away from the scaping.

After planting these foreground plants into the tank....the outcome

Definitely not the end yet....i will be planting in more foreground plants and update it in my P3.....Do keep a lookout for it...soon...

Journal of a new Aquascaping...~ Rock scaping P1

I have been thinking and planning since June...right after i finished servicing my debt...I have always thought about doing something to my discus tank....and the temptation was really high especially when lately everyone moved into rock scaping...and therefore triggering my IBS (Itchy Backside Syndrome) further, i decided i should just go ahead with my project...

A few questions prompted me to not hastily decide and proceed...
1) The current occupants in the tank...2 matured discus and 1 juv discus, where do i house them?
2) How fast can the cloudiness of the soil be settled in the tank?
3) What type of rocks and plants to use?
4) Do i have sufficient budget for this?

This was my first planted tank which i still improvising it since beginning this year... still growing into a mature tank now...

And.....i discovered that i didnt get enough soil..initially i thought a 5 kg pack of soil would fill it completely...i was wrong....and there isnt anything much i can do now..only to wait till the shop opens tomorrow....and get another 4kg to top up the tank..

This weekend gonna be busy for me...and i woke up with a very "disturbing" sms from wanjun...telling me her great plans for the whole next week...

Travelling to countries that i most hunger this season....Bangkok, Chingmai, Hongkong and Macau!!! Wah...full of envy....and it seems like the oil price didnt really stop anyone temperory travelling, alvin, jing all gone for the travel fair!!! Allll except me...

N all i can do now is save save save!!! N hopefully i get my surprise next week and i promise myself that i will be going to japan myself..to Asakusa myself and get my own blessings!!!!
